This urban infill addition to a 1920s brick apartment building evolved in and out of Design Review for over a year before receiving a Master Use Permit. A brick feature wall flanked by glazing forms a modern extension of the character of the original brick structure and frames the new accessible entry. The constraints of the site, the existing building and the neighborhood context made for a complex design process, but ultimately shaped an elegant structure well integrated into its context. Project management through permits. | Seattle | WA
